Some answers from Cohh about this exciting new game:

- I'm a very, very small part owner of the company. It's by no means my studio or anything. PIXELMAGE is primarily John Smedley and the other bamfs listed on their Kickstarter page.

- Why am I supporting this? John pitched this idea to me months ago and I was absolutely sold. A procedural MMO with building, large private community servers, an acension system, crafting... It's all my favorite things in a game and frankly hasn't been done before in the "hundreds of players" format. I fell in love the second I heard it.

One of the biggest draws I had to this is that it's almost a reinvisioning of old Shadowbane/Ultima Online concepts

- You're in Two kickstarters, is that an issue? Not at all. I fully support both projects and as a dedicated gamer (it is my job, after all) I wanted to make sure both projects are a success. Timing is the biggest beast in this equation, and I would have liked to focus on each one after another, but studios and teams have a lot of moving parts and my influence over the dates was not a huge component. Other people need to get paid!

Two Kickstarters at once actually feed off the promotion of both. More people are aware of both projects. It's a cohesive thing at the end of the day and why so many Kickstarters help promote other ones!

- Why 1.5 million for the game? I'm not involved directly in the financing but there are a lot of industry vets and big names on the docket; I'm sure that was an influencing factor.

- Will there be community servers? The plan from the BEGINNING was for this game to be a major part of this community. We'll have multiple sub servers, of many different types, and ... yeah... The main reason I'm on this project is because I'm so freaking excited to play this game.

I like the concept and the people behind it are legends, but I doubt it will reach it's goal. If it were with a graphics style like Divinity or Pillars more likely. There is also an issue with the Kickstarter tiers, which I know Cohh doesn't have any say in it. More people would possible be supporting it if there were at least a $10 option. Also it would allow for unrestricted number of backers for that tier, which I understand why it's needed even on the $25, since it allows access to Beta 2.

Anyway that's just my 2 cents. I really hope it succeeds because this would be a game that could be considered a breakthrough on how multiplayer is done for RPGs on a smaller scale than an MMO.

The Kickstarter has been updated with a $15 dollar tier, so hopefully that will appeal to a few. You get a digital copy of the game as the tier reward.

It would also help if they could show more of the game's mechanics and how well the content is generated to form a cohesive story. Procedurally generated content tends to lack a lot of depth.

Kickstarters are not may jam, but wish all of you luck.
On another note, since Cohh has been teasing us with Project Resrgence and now Hero's song, I more frequently have a feeling, that Cohh is walking a thin line between sharing his passion and just beeing a PR/Salesman guy.

I am no specialist in consumer law, but I think, when Cohh will be playing those games, it should be noted (ie. by and overlay pop-up), that he has taken part in its creation / is a share-holder etc. Just so any, random viewer would have an indication, that opinions shared on the stream/in the vod might be biased.
