Star Citizen, the Kickstarter brain child of Wing Commander creator Chris Roberts, reached a new milestone in funding today: $19 million. However, Roberts and the team at Cloud Imperium Games aren't completely done, and they've outlined their new stretch goals.
The new milestone unlocked the ability for players to own and operate space stations across the massive galaxy of Star Citizen, along with the Roberts Space Industries Museum, a database for articles about Roberts, his team, and their past projects.
With $19 million under their belt, the team unveiled the $21 million stretch goal: the salvage mechanic. This will allow players to search and scavenge for useful materials in both flight and FPS modes.
