One month after turning to Kickstarter for the money to develop a new Shantae game, WayForward's crowdfunding campaign has come to a close with more than double what it was seeking.
The Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Kickstarter ended today with a final pledge total of $776,084. Combined with the pledges gathered through PayPal -- through which WayForward continues to accept money -- the total as of today is $811,962, well in excess of the $400,000 goal. As a result, four stretch goals have been met, meaning players will have bonus chapters and extra costumes to use in-game.
