The director of Clerks and Mallrats has sounded off on increasing concerns over YouTube's crackdown on some Let's Play video creators. As reported by GameSpot, Smith recently appeared on the Canadian television show George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight, and the director was perfectly candid about his feelings on the copyright debacle.
"They're not hurting anybody with clips of video games," said Smith. "Don't stamp down someone's creativity; even if it's someone else's creativity with other people's material, because you make found art out of art that you find."
