Here's my Archetype:

First Name: Cohh
Last Name: CARNAGE
Gender: Male

This guy is a bit like the hulk, combined with Lenny from Of Mice and Men. He should have very high strength and endurance, high agility and luck, but very low intelligence and charisma. Make the Perception stat whatever you'd like.

Mr. CARNAGE has the intellect of a Super Mutant, and the barbarism. He specialises in Melee Weapons, Unarmed and Explosives. However, he is naturally terrible at Medicine, Energy Weapons, Science and Sneak. Because of this, level these skills with the least priority, and level his specialities with the most.

Mr. CARNAGE is a very violent man with a massive bloodlust. He prefers to charge straight in instead of using tactics. He prefers using two handed weapons like sledgehammers rather than one handed weapons like knives. One goal for the playthrough would be to get a nice chainsaw as a primary weapon, although this is completely optional.

Morally, he is somewhat neutral. However, his need for murder and violence could make him go either way, depending on which factions he attacks the most.

Mr. CARNAGE is a very independent man, who doesn't like siding with any particular faction, nor does he care much for any possible companions, but will takes sides if it means he can maul more people to death with a Rebar Club.

You can use any perks freely, as long as they are beneficial to Mr. CARNAGE in general, or are a boon to his skills and character.

No mods are needed for this playthrough, but the sprinting from Project Nevada may help. PN is divided into several submods, so you can take out the parts that change and rebalance everything else, if you would like.

Also, be careful fast travelling and sleeping when Hardcore mode is on: you can die when you arrive or awaken.

Hope you like it Cohh! :D

I'm thinking to go along with the whole "western" genre of NV why not have Cohh be a cowboy?

S: 8
P: 7
E: 7
C: 5
I: 4
A: 6
L: 3

Starting tagged skills: guns, repair and survival

Starting perk(s): trigger discipline (if you can reason out why you can use another then go for it)

NOTE: The beginning of the game you don't exactly have "cowboy" type things (cowboy hat, 6 shooter etc.) so it's okay to use what you have for now BUT once you get cowboy esque things then you must use them (sheriffs duster and hat I'm primm?). Also, you must get the "cowboy" perk at some point.

Perks you can take:
Hunter, 30 survival
Rapid reload, 30 guns
Run' n Gun, 45 guns
Travel light, 45 survival
Bloody mess, lvl 6
Demolition expert, 50 explosives
Gunslinger, lvl 6
Hand loader, 70 repair
Lead Belly, lvl 6
Shotgun Surgeon, 45 guns
Toughness, lvl 6
Commando, lvl 8
Cowboy, 45 guns, 45 Melee
Quick Draw, lvl 8
Rad Resisatnce, 40 survival
Stonewall, lvl 8
Strong Back, lvl 8
SuperSlam!, 45 melee
Animal friend, 45 survival ( you need to find a way to get +1 Charisma first)
Fast metabolism, lvl 12
Long Haul, 70 barter
Unstoppable Force, 90 melee
Centre of Mass, 70 Guns
Jury Rigging, 90 repair
Weapon handling, lvl 16
Explorer, lvl 20
Solar powered, lvl 20
Rad absorption, lvl 28
Infiltrator, 70 lockpick

Note: perks with only a level mean that you should already have the requirements in your SPECIAL setup.

Weapons:
Nothing tech related (power fists included)

No newer "military" weapons (9mm, 10mm, minigun, launchers, auto rifles etc.)

Grenades are okay but dynamite is better. Mines are good too but rigged up explosives like powder charges should be used more

Lever actions, all revolvers, all shotguns, hunting rifle, battle rifle for ranged weapons. You can get a scope for the hunting rifle if you need a sniping weapon

Any melee that isn't future tech (no super sledge etc.)

Companions: since our cowboy doesn't fancy technology, any companions that have to do with tech and advanced medicine cannot be used. This leaves:

Cass
Boone
Raul

Bio:

you don't rember much of your childhood anymore. pack Brahmin and walking for miles are the clearest memories. Caravan runners your parents must've been. Other memories you're not quite sure of are the screaming of your mother and the destinct sound of your fathers trusty rifle. Everything else is black. You wake up in a bed, a woman is tending to a gash in the side of your head, not your mom and definitely not the home you used to have. Days pass and you can finally get up and walk, the woman brings you to her husband and he tells you that he found you next to a destroyed caravan with nobody else in sight. He told you that he was in a dangerous area and wasn't even sure if you were alive. Your parents are gone and do are the people that took them. Turns out this man is a farmer just north of the "strip" and needs all the help he can with his animals and crops. You spend many years of your life working almost every day out in the sun. Your new "dad" teaches you how to properly shoot a gun, fix it with very few materials and build a fire in case you decide to go on an adventure like kids do. That blow to the head took something out of you and it took some time to learn these things. Once you're old enough to take care of yourself out on the desert, you leave the homestead in search of becoming an NCR Ranger (or at least looking like one). You've always heard tales of how the rangers lead men into great battles and came out Victorius
And you want to be one of them. The unlucky side of you comes out again and you never find the recruiting HQ for the NCR so you decide to find a job travelling the desert. Because of your terrible past you could not bear to be a caravan trader and decided to be a courier. On your first day you receive a strange note and a platinum poker chip. You don't ask any questions especially because it's your first day and head out. The last thing you know your starting down a gun barrel but you can't determine who's holding it. You wake up in a clinic and with very few belongings, most aren't even yours. In an instant everything became clear. You must figure out who shot you, who took your family and join the NCR :D

Working for so many years in the fields gives you great stregenth and perception

walking around Nevada so much when you were younger and now has given you good endurance and agility.

Being bludgeoned and shot in the head has given you low intellect and luck

Being alone at the farm so much has given you mid charisma, you can stand people and have companions but you could never have a lover

Extra notes:

in heavy combat, you can wear combat armor but only till the fight is over

You have suspicions that the legion took your family but you are not certain, you would rather help the NCR take them Down

You like helping people but if they give you any kind of tech in exchange you can keep it on you and sell it but you can't use it ever

Try to keep the tech related skills low, YOU CAN ONLY PUT SCIENCE TO 100 FOR HACKING TERMINALS. I know you like your lore and I don't want you to miss out so just don't take perks that have to do with science. Keep energy as it starts and medicine to 30 MAX

Just like Sherlock liked his mentats, our cowboy likes his alcohol. IF you go to a bar YOU MUST buy a drink and drink it before you leave, especially whiskey

If there's anything that looks off or needs changing just figure out a way to message me or something and I can see to what needs fixing

Hey guys, I've got an idea for New Vegas if Cohh decides to go for a 100% play through.

Name - Hans Gruber

S 3
P 7
E 4
C 9
I 8
A 4
L 5

This is going to be a character that focuses around the idea of manipulative smooth talker. Someone who pretends to help everyone in an attempt to better his own life more than anyone else. With high speech and intelligence he will trick others into fighting for him but will also have an array of energy weapons and power armour if he needs to get involved himself. Though for the most part he will avoid combat where ever he can. This isn't a character that's drawn towards tech but is more interested in having the best and being better than anyone else. Though he has the awareness to know when he's out matched and will back down with only a wound to his ego.

I think a pacifist playthrough would be cool since Fallout: New Vegas is one of the few RPG's which supports a non-violent playstyle.

For such a run I would suggest this build:
Strength: 3
Perception: 5
Endurance: 10
Charisma: 5
Intelligence: 10
Agility: 5
Luck: 2

Tag:
Medicine
Speech
Lockpick

Perks:
Good Natured

A fair warning though, not all sidequests can be completed in a no-kill run. Some of the impossible quests are: Three Card Bounty, One for my Baby and Eye for an Eye. I would also recommend a NCR ending to the pacifist run

If not the correct level or skill level or if your done with these, you have the freedom to choose your perks

Biography:
You were born in Vault 7, one of the only Vaults located in the state of California and was built in the city of Palm Springs. All of the adults that lived in that vault knew there was something different about you, everyone would have bad luck around you and always bad things would happen if they were around you. They blamed you for the death of Dean Schafer, a father of 3 and a doctor who died of a heart attack when he tried to give you a vaccine shot when you were 5. Some of the residents even thought that you were possessed by the devil because you would scream in your sleep from the nightmares you had. The people of the vault were scared of you because most if not all were religious. Even one resident tried to kill you while you were sleeping because she thought that the "devil" would be released from you but your parents always protected you. The vault when into a craze, they called you a witch and a devil and eventually the overseer had to release you into the wasteland before the whole vault went to hell. You remember being released at the age of 9, the heat hitting you instantly as you were forced through the vault door and turned an got a last look at your mother and father screaming at the guards to give them back their baby and that she's not the devil. Then the vault closed behind you and you have survived ever since. You learned a lot about living off the land by cooking most of your food, hunting, sneaking past enemies, and becoming a great lockpicker. You made your way to Nevada and got a job at a courier's office to start a new life, but you'll never forget your beloved parents and all the friends that helped on the way to Nevada. Your first job was to carry a platinum chip to the desired location for a big profit so hopefully one day you can live in the New Vegas Strip.

Play Style: You learned pretty much anyway to fight through your enemies, you are a skilled gunman whether big or small but also have a pretty good way with melee weopens, just whatever gets the job done. She has good experience with sneaking past her enemies but does not refuse to use a gun to force her way through. You do not eat food found throughout loot and only eat the food you have cooked. You always want to look beautiful, you keep your hair perfected and only like wearing pre-war clothing because it reminds you of what your mother used to wear in closed doors just for her father because the vault made them wear their vault suits. She does not like to wear bulky armor and always wants to be the center of attention to the mans eyes and that's why she perfected her cooking because she wants to find the perfect man. (Not to be sexist, it just goes with the vintage time range) But she also has to overcome the demons in her body, and to prevent the nightmares that she occurs frequently, she drinks some sort of alcohol before she goes to sleep because she believes it prevents the "demons" in her dreams.

Name: Gary 'Caliber' Oppenheimer

Strength: 10
Perception: 5
Endurance: 8
Charisma: 3
Intelligence: 5
Agility: 2
Luck: 7

Suggested perks:

Rapid Reload (Agility: 5 / Guns 30) As a toddler you used bullets, preferably 50 cal. as a pacifier.
Rad Child (Survival 70) Presumably the light on your nightstand contained some Uranium 235.
Lead Belly (Endurance: 5) See Rad Child
Toughness (Endurance: 5) The explosions often rocked the bed you were in, and more often than not you woke up on the ground.
Commando: If it fits in one hand, it's probably not worth firing (giggity?)
Pack Rat (Intelligence: 5 / Barter 70) Gravity is not a constant. Not for you anyway.
Scrounger (Luck: 5)
Strong Back (Strength / Endurance 5)
Pyromaniac
Long Haul

You were born on Nellis AFB, in the hangar where most of the ammunition is stored. You grew up with the smell (and sound) of huge calibers. But your parents disagreed with the Boomer's leadership. Although the world perished through the use of Fat Men and Little Boys, they believed it could be used for the greater good. But that would mean leaving Nellis AFB. They made plans to leave peacefully, but the artillery rained down without any warning, just before they cleared the ruined town beyond the fence. You are left an orphan, with nothing but the sound of shelling in your ears and the need for retaliation. Shortly afterwards you are adopted by a party of independant merchants. You start working as a courier to make some money, and maybe one day exert your revenge on the Boomers.

You favor exquisite little tools like the Minigun, Flamers, Grenade Launchers, LMG's. The words of some distant ancestor sometimes pop up in your mind.
"I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."

Disposition:

Although you seek revenge, you follow the principle of least resistance. So mainly neutral or friendlier. Unless there is the promise of big guns, an ammo replenishment or a shiny piece of armor. You value freedom and individuality, and will ALWAYS choose to fight for the underdog. Unless the underdog is the Legion. Or the Brotherhood. Or the NCR. Or the Boomers. You know what, maybe it would be best for the Wastelands if the powers that be completely wipe eachother out...

The Mercenary
Name: (Cohh's Choice)

Perks: Anything to do with guns, Terrifying Presence, and also anything else that Cohh chooses to fit this build

Selected SPECIAL:
S: 6
P:5
E:6
C:22
I:3

A:4
L:4
(Note: If to more points are available put them in Strength/Endurance, or if too many points take out of Intelligence and Luck)

Tag Skills: Guns, Explosives, Melee Weapons

Traits: Trigger Disiplined, Wacky Wasteland, Kamikaze.

Playthrough Style: Your preffered faction is NCR but you also do side jobs for House. Guns are a main part of combat and the usebof explosives if necessary. You jump on the chance of a job but do it only for profit or personal gain. - KARMA = Neutral/Bad

Bio: Your father and mother were soldiers for the NCR, this is how they met and had you. You were born in California on a ranch run by your parents, because when they had you they retired from the army for your and their safety. As you grew older you became interested in Pre-War books about The US Marine Corps in The second world war. You also were told stories by your father about his life in the military and you instantly became interested in joining the NCR, so your father showed you how to shoot and you became known in the surrounding communities due to this. When the time came you left the Ranch and joined up. A few years pass by and you hear a couple of the soldiers talking about a man called Sherlock and his exploits in D.C. You were inspired by this man that to left the army to head East to New vegas and join the Courier service in hopes that you would head to D.C but instead got a job delivering a package in The Mojave.

Name: Maximillion Dime
S: 7
P: 8
E: 6
C: 8
I: 5
A: 4
L: 8

One night near Goodsprings...

Millionaire owner of the Mojave Express, who frustrated with a seeming wimp of an employee - is taken aback by his uncharacteristic retort for him to do the job himself. Too egotistical to resist the challenge, rather than fire the useless employee on the spot, he rips the Courier bag from him and his assignment - to deliver some kind of Platinum Chip to New Vegas. He puts on the Courier's rags, and grabs the trusty bag, heading out into the wastes to deliver the package under the guise of a hapless Courier.

While the Mojave Wasteland is certainly full of mean creatures, there is seldom few things meaner than Maximillion Dime.

Dime has become one of the richest men in the Wastes, due to constant speculation on people's misery and investing his money immediately following disaster, with the Mojave Express being his latest acquisition from the widow of a kindly old man he drove to a heart attack.
In the wasteland of business, he comes to expect everything, the one thing he didn't expect, was to be captured by Great Khans, a man in a chequered suit, and to receive a bullet to the head. They say Karma rules the wastes, and that it was only a matter of time before this cruel millionaire got what was coming to him.

But Karma has never met Maximillion Dime.

When he wakes on Doctor Mitchell's bed, he has no idea who he is, the only evidence being the nametag and personal affects of that mild-mannered and kind Courier who seemingly lived in Primm with his grandparents. However, as a feud breaks out between the Powder Gangers and the sweet folk of Goodsprings, Maximillion Dime emerges...

To make your way through the perilous battlefield of New Vegas, between factions, individuals and century-old conflicts, heavy investment in the Speech skill will allow to dillute even the most bitter conflicts with your way of words, to stem the blade of serial murderers with reason. However, Maximillion Dime never needed reason and a silver tongue in making his millions. He believes that wealth and power can only be pursued by constant beligerrence and aggression. As a result, when it comes to skills for Dime, the most important thing to note is the skill not to invest in. As you play through the game, Cohh, invest your points in any skill but speech. Not only that, but you must avoid every nice option entirely, always picking the most beligerrent and aggerssive answers.
Doing this will open an entirely new game for you.

As Dime says 'If you can't beat'em, don't join'em, make your own game.'

Skills should be invested wherever. Dime claims he is good at everything, but starting with Barter should be obvious.

Perks

Fortune Finder.

Lady Killer. Despite looking like a pink bag of nails with some hair growing out on top of it, Maximillion's unapolgetic style and constant aggression to people who confront or criticize him draws seemingly unending attention from the opposite sex. Where his crass, and unapolgetic behaviour leads many to hate him, there is always a blind spot if the conversation happens to be with a beautiful woman.

Factions.

With everybody assuming Dime is dead. His family fortune is being fought between the numerous beautiful girlfriends, spouses, children, illegitimite or otherwise. Dime has no time to let everyone know otherwise though, there is greater prizes on the horizon. Vegas! He is going to need some new business partners however. Maximillion abhors state intervention in business and the personal lives of the individual, so the NCR is out, and Mr. House seems like nothing but an upstart liberal, who makes him look bad. Brutal, murderous and aggressive, Dime can't say he dislikes the Legion's style, but if there is one thing, Dime hates more than the state and high-minded metropolitan elite, then that would be immigrants. He will want nothing more but to send these new visitors back to where they came from.

That certainly does round down potential business partners. Perhaps there could be a wildcard?

Good choice Cohh I would suggest doing graphic mods only and dlc's your essentially playing the real Fallout 3 loosely speaking it was originally set in this time frame and place back in.... 2003 or something goofy like that. New Vegas touches on the older style of fallout with the gritty and witty satire of what the first few fallouts are renown for.
