Someone else enjoys Symphoney X, eh? :D

My choice in music can vary a lot, when I do listen to music I will often put it on shuffle so I end up with a right mixed bag. I'll put my iPod on shuffle and list the first 10 bands: The Editors, Kasabian, Uppermost, Skeptiks, Symphony X, Pendulum, Glitch Mob, Blackmill, AC DC and Macklemore.

I realized i didn't state my taste, lol.

I used to only listen to rap but now my taste is much larger.
Favorite artists right now are: Mike Stud, MGMT, Muse, Vampire Weekend, MCR, 30 Seconds to Mars, Bombay Bicycle Club, Foo Fighters.
I pretty much like anything other than Country and really heavy Death Metal.

Everything not mainstream, mostly. I don't want to sound like a hipster but mainstream music isn't very good. Genre-wise it would be:
Hard Rock, Soft Rock, Indie Rock, Heavy Metal, EDM, Chiptunes, Jazz, Alternative Hip Hop, Trip Hop.

With over 3,000 CDs in my library. I listen to a bit of everything. Jazz, World Fusion, and Funk are chief among my current interests, but I listen to what my mood dictates. It is hard to pick favorites in the world of artists, but I would lay that down as Tom Waits, Iron Maiden, King Crimson, Thelonious Monk, Gov't Mule. . . . My main requirement is that a REAL bass guitar be present and its user be funky.
