Tonight was a night to remember.

Now I normally reel in about 40 or so viewers per stream, but tonight I nearly pissed myself. We started off at our usual 40. and then something crazy happened. My buddy informed me that I was at 800 viewers, which I thought was a troll as my max viewer count ever was about 100. but oddly enough

I thought..hmm either it's a view bot or I'm being raided, but awesome nonetheless..

Then my buddy says, "Mike your not going to believe this, your at 1800 viewers and top streamer of minecraft right now



And crazily enough we continued to gain them.. Now I was pretty sure by now that I was getting viewbotted, As while the chat was exploding, it wasn't to the point of a normal raid chat. However, I gained almost 130 new followers, managed to maintain about a 150 viewer count once the bot ended and I believe I topped out at 3000 viewers. Now while it's not much of an accomplishment since it was a view bot, I must admit I'm glad it happened as it brought me into contact with over 100 new followers who will now be tuning in again every night. Anywho, just thought I'd share this with you guys.

A view bot is a program that fakes views. It's almost like someone opening tons of tabs of your stream are once. So while it shows 3000 people watching, in reality there were about 500 unique viewers and about 2500 fake viewers created by the view bot. Recently there have been people going around trying to get streamers banned by view botting however twitch is aware of this issue and is looking into it.
