A week ago or so mentioned a game called shards online during the stream and how the developers asked him to check it out. After that I googled it a few days later and apparently they're running a kickstarter campaign now. After reading through it I watched the first livestream they did on twitch and to me it looks good, seems to have some similarities to UO but also some cool unique stuff like the whole "run your own server with custom rules etc." and doesn't seem to become some p2w rip-off. To make it short, I backed it on kickstarter. I know some kickstarter projects don't turn out too well but to me it looks like they already have a good foundation and the devs aren't just some random guys (worked on ultima, elder scrolls, daoc etc. previously).
So if you want to check it out you can go to their kickstarter page and should you decide to back it you can message me your email address you used for your kickstarter account if you're interested in getting some extra stuff (they have a referral program ongoing).
