Getting a New PC (Help Please)

Hey, so i'm trying to get a great gaming machine, one like cohhs, but not completely like his, something subpar to his. He told me to piece out everything so i'm asking you guys to help me decide which parts I need for a nice gaming pc. Thanks

My budget is: $500-$800 (for now)
I live in: Illinois (US)
Operating system: Don't need one
Monitor: I don't need a monitor
Gaming resolution : I plan on gaming in 1920x1080 resolution
Peripherals?: I need a new , keyboard, headset.
Will you do overclocking?: I'm not sure what this is
What are you planning to do with the pc?: I plan on gaming pretty much

Do you have any parts at all? As in case, power supply etc.
When you start planning computers around $500, and you have to buy everything, you dont get a beast machine like Cohh's.
I recommend you start with the basics peripherals as in cheap keyboards etc. Its easy to upgrade those parts later on.

And overclocking is just pushing components further than they are when you buy them.

Any preferred sites/companies to shop from, or just add up in Amazon?

No, I have no parts yet, by power supply do you mean an actual computer? If so yes, I don't plan on overclocking and I just shop from Amazon most of the time, Ebay rarely.

Power supply is the part that you plug in your main power and distribute the right voltage to the right part in the computer.
So you need everything i guess then

Haha, thanks, i'm not expecting to get everything really soon though i'm gonna be saving up money through the year and then get a job over the summer, so I just want to get everything planned out beforehand just in case a miracle happens. Thanks

I have a Basic cheap set up that i did for a friend a few months back i can dig it up and pull up the parts list from it, also update said parts list, if i remember correctly it was right around 800 dollars, that was only for the tower though since she had all the other peripherals.

Do you have any preference between intel and AMD products? that will be a large factor in determining the performance of your machine.

i got an alteration of your build, with newer processor,ssd,an os(but can be pirated to save money) and smaller case. the its a 600w psu instead of a 750w because you dont need that much wattage for a singel gpu config and the motherboard doesnt support dual gpus anyway
the total of this was 890$

Sure.
I always go 200-250 watts over the actual needed wattage, so the psu dont get volt drops.
I saw the alternate build, and the main difference is the GPU. I just thought you wanted some spare power for gaming
But I can say that this isn't the build you gonna settle with. I "built mine 15-20 times" before finally ordering parts.
Anyway, good luck with your build. It so much fun putting together a brand new computer and boot it for the first time

indeed, i didnt't see that he didnt have the money, a tip is come back when you have them because alot happens in a year and both our builds might be obsolete.in that time
