So, I am pretty dumb when it comes to computers..just going to throw that out real early haha.
What I would like to do is stream(like Cohh) I currently do but I only have an XBox and thats pretty limited. I am a BIG fan of the style of games Cohh plays. AA looks pretty amazing, I am a pretty big fan of Diablo, so games along those lines. It would primarily be used for gaming/streaming and nothing personal work wise. Like I have mentioned I am pretty dumb with computer stuff..I went to PC part picker and its like looking at the matrix lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated...also, I am willing to put it together myself..im not a fan of buying premade computers...but always have because I have no idea what I am doing lol
Price range 900-1300.00
Help me build a computer please :)

yes it is, that's a header for like front panel USB 3.0 ports, you'd still have access to the USB 3 on the back of the PC, but not the front ports, those are USB 2.0 only.bigmitchmonster wrote:Is that compatibility note on the bottom incorrect?

I have to disagree with your choices here first of all you go balls out on the processor(and while you were at it why not 4790k?) with the cheapes possible motherboard and a graphicscard that really isnt that well peforming.theskuggi wrote:here would be a good start, just pick a keyboard/mouse that you like. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GkKvsY

Gotta read what he want's man lol.h3ll0j3ll0 wrote:I have to disagree with your choices here first of all you go balls out on the processor(and while you were at it why not 4790k?) with the cheapes possible motherboard and a graphicscard that really isnt that well peforming.
I went balls out on that processor because he want's to stream. With that he can use quicksync and still keep his games on high settings and stream at a good quality. Actually your right, I forgot about the price drop in the 4790k's that would have been a better choice.
I also went high on the ram for streaming, having his game open, and if he needs to run anything else he'll have the space for it.
750ti keeps the power reqs low, and runs practically everything on highs. Especially AA and Diablo III.
Low end Asus is still a decent board, he won't need to OC, and as he's new to PC building probably won't want to fiddle with it, so save some cash there.
Your system is a much more powerful rig for straight gaming, he'd need to up the processor tho for streaming from that rig, I've had no luck using my 4690 for same rig streaming, I get better performance from a 3770k. Generally best to stick with the i7's and HT

really because a friend of mine streamed with a 4670k and it worked just fine(trying to find the stream), i can understand the motherboard and its many prebuilt computers that follow the same scheme but i feel like if you are going to buy a 200$+ processor you need to atleast spend 100$ at your motherboard, you have a point that he maybe doesnt want to fiddle with it now but in 3-5 years it would be nice that you spent that 60$ so that you can overclock your cpu and squeze that last value out of ittheskuggi wrote:Gotta read what he want's man lol.

the high ram is justified, i think you can manage without it but its defenetly a plus.
well now to the part where i disagree with you, the gpu. if you spend 1100$ on a computer today i dont think you shall settle for maneging high, you shall be able to play ultra 60fps + with no problem. Secondly there is the power consumption, i have no idea why you would think that power consumption would be a problem with a 750w psu.with that power you can run a extreme edition cpu and any singel gpu card in the world, had a friend who ran a 4670k with a 760 on a 450w for gods sake
When it comes to soley gaming i think we both can agree that i5 is the best, but when it comes to streaming you claim its not enough and i claim the opposite. but what if you dont need to use the processor as the encoder, i dont know if you have read about nvidia shadowplay but its basicly streaming using the gpus own x264 encoder which results in next to none peformance loss and thats why i think my build is better, the gpu will handle games on ultra and he can stream with the gpu and then the cpu aint a problem, well i gotta go to bed now its 4:35 am and my eyes cant stay open so see ya
