Hello All,
I am thinking of getting a new gaming pc from IBuyPower. Here are the specs.
Intel® Core™ i7-4790 Processor (4x 3.60GHz/8MB L3 Cache
Asetek 550LC Liquid CPU Cooling System Standard 120mm Fan
16 GB [8 GB x2] DDR3-1600 Memory Module
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 - 4GB
64 GB ADATA SP900 SSD
1 TB HARD DRIVE -- 32M Cache, 7200 RPM, 6.0Gb/s
The final price, with Cohh's discount is 1436. Will this setup be good enough for new games or am I missing something or pricing too high? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like a pretty solid rig. My only concern would be the size of the SSD. You pretty much will only be able to have whatever OS you will be using on that drive. I think windows 8 uses between 20-30 gigs of space and there are inevitable updates that will use more. If its possible to upgrade the SSD to maybe a 120 or so with not to much of a price hike i would recommend it. Other than that should be able to handle any games you throw at it for some time.

Hey, i would like to know what the motherboard, chassi and powerspply it is. as a computer it seems pretty ballanced but i'm not really sure about the price though, i think you can save some money if you build it yourself(which isnt harder than building lego).
what games are you going to play and are you going to stream? secondly what kind of case do you want, small/big, flashy/minimalistic,what colour do you prefer?

I too would also suggest in getting a larger SSD. One thing that I love about SSD is that your games will load so much faster. I actually have a 500GB SSD on my laptop and makes it scream with speed. I wouldn't really go that I high if you can't afford the money but 500 GB SSD's are to my mind more reasonably priced. I actually am thinking of getting a new rig to change out some of the parts of my old desktop that is running a Quad Core Q6600 Process (Yea it really needs and upgrade lol.) Here is what I have so far:
- ASUS X99-A ATX DDR4 3000 LGA Motherboard X99-A
- Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.3GHz LGA 2011
- Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200)
- Samsung 840 EVO 1TB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-7TE1T0BW)
- ASUS Graphics Cards STRIX-GTX980-DC2OC-4GD5
I already have a 1200W ThermalTake power supply and ThermalTake Case.
One thing I am wondering is if the liquid cooling is something that is needed? I am definately not going to overclock so the equipment doesn't need to cool too much. I don't know but may add it if needed.

well you dont need liquid cooler, however you need some kind of cooler since the x99 processors doesnt come with one at stock so you might aswell buy one.
