hmm intersting, i have two friends who have been using a 280xs for a long time and there has been no problems at all(except that one overvolted his card to death ;P)

The R series cards are 2D unstable and require a voltage boost to get them to be stable. Its a rampant issue. I'm so over it.

Only thing would be if you actually plan to overclock the processor or not. If you aren't then save some money and get the non-K version.
