[QUOTE="rldennis, post: 23870, member: 25105"][scroll down to the end of this post on how to receive an invitation to the guild!]
As we all know by now. ArenaNet has announced an expansion for Guild Wars 2.
Alot of people have been getting hyped for the expansion and with that in mind
The Cohhilition guild will be ready to house all members of the Cohhilition!
[Why we decided to revive the guild]
Because of the announcement of an expansion to Guild Wars 2
alot of people have started to play again or they have plans to play again.
Most of these players will be either kicked from their old guild
or be in an inactive guild. All we want to accomplish by reviving the
Cohhilition guild is to have a pleasant place for members of the cohhilition
to return to
[CROSS-REGION PLAY]
I will try to explain how cross-region play works as of right now.
Guild wars 2 has 3 servers. They have NA/EU which we all know, but
there is a third server. The Login servers
EU and NA are completely seperate. You cannot play together. You
will not be able to find each other in the game.
However, There is 1 thing that connects NA and EU. That's right.
The Login servers. Guilds, chat and friend lists are connected
to the Login servers. Which means NA and EU can be in the same
guild, chat and be on each other's friend list.
As of right now we have decided to keep the guild together as a cross-region guild
as most of us just like chatting together.
[But will we be able to play with each other?]
Yes and no. If you are from the same region. You should have no
problem teaming up because of the new megaserver system.
That's why we have decided to create 2 ranks within the guild.
EU Member and NA Member. this way you can see who you can actually
play the game with.
Please note: If you are not from the same region you can still interact with each other in chat.
[Have you decided on a main server yet?]
We have not. Right now it's kind of hard to say where we want everyone
to go. Transferring servers can also be quite expensive and before
we decide on a main server we want to make a well informed choice.
Please do note that main servers do not matter much anymore. the only
thing it influences is World vs. World. as that is the only thing that
remains tied to your main server.
[You said that your main server does not matter much anymore, Why is that?]
Quite some time ago. ArenaNet introduced something called the
'MegaServer system'. The MegaServer system basically is a system
implemented to reduce the amount of data used on a map.
For instance:
With the old system in place Lion's Arch (a city) would have
27 different instances of it on EU. because they have to keep a instance of a map
open for every server. But with the new system they ask players to go to a more
populated map so they can close the map you were in. In which case there might only
be 10 instances of Lion's Arch. It also works the other way around.
If there are too many people in those 10 opened instances for that map.
They will create an extra instance for people to go to.
The system also automatically tries to group you with your friends and guildies.
If you have any further questions, I'll be glad to answer them!
[How to receive an invitation to the guild]

Include your Guild Wars 2 name (RlDennis.1234)
and what region you play on (EU/NA)
For instance:
RlDennis.1234
EU
That is all the information we need to send you an invitation!
We hope to see you all in Guild Wars 2 soon!

It's worth noting that those playing in the EU can permanently transfer to NA - but you might get high latency. This also costs 1800 gems. Sadly you cannot guess on US servers from the EU or the other way around.

hopefully the powers that be will note that while jade quarry is awesome and full when it comes to wvwvw combat it is however a Q fest sometimes taking upwards of an hour esp in primetime. Also of note you currently cannot transfer to any of the three T1 servers because they are listed as full. Sure you can try to get lucky and catch a chance to get into the T1 servers but that can be limiting to the community as a whole. personal recommendation tier 2-5 servers. Myself currently i actually transfered to the bottom of the list a T8 server and its not bad i get plenty of wvw action albiet smaller than t1 scale 30 on 30 instead of 100 on 100 LOL. however i also get to experience solo roaming play a lot more.. Just my 2cp.

Just for those who may be wondering about this, I've been playing on NA servers since release and live in the UK - I've yet to experience any problems whatsoever. There's also plenty of people activity wise who play during EU day/evening time across game modes, so whilst it won't be *as* busy as it would be in the EU region, you'll have plenty of people to play with if you decide to play on NA. Megaservers definitely help with this! Your WvW experience will be (obviously) different, since the majority of players come out during the region's time zone.
Hit me up if you have questions about cross-region stuff, I'm happy to help.
