Best way to prepare is sleep a little longer a few days before travelling. Also try and spend some time outside when you arrive. I always travel out for PAX a little earlier to adjust. This has the added bonus of getting involved in pre-PAX community events (Magical Mystery Tour, PokeCrawl, Pre-PAX Dinners, and Game Nights.)
