Charity: Do your homework before donating!

Your money could have a bigger impact if you donate to a different charity.
I know that cancer is a hell of a desease, but your money won't make a huge difference to be honest.
Just imagine what $50 do to cancer research: You probably pay a doctor / researcher for 2 hours of his job.

Now imagine donating to a charity like SaveTheChildren for example: You can actually decide how your money will be used. So you could put all the money into child birth programs or you could decide that your money only is used to pay food for children.

I just want to point out that there are children out there, who don't have cancer and could be treated with very cheap medical equipment. Cancer on the other hand is rather expensive to cure and do research in.
If you think rational about it, it makes much more sense to donate to a different charity.

Also you sometimes get crazy multipliers. gamingforgood.net for example had up to 16x multipliers. So your $50 become $800!
