Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds I don't know why but some of the music and the Martian's sound really creeped me out.

It is an incredible concept album! However, I think I didn't find it as creepy as I could have because the first time I heard it was just after I had finally overcome a fear of otherworldly creatures.
There was a puzzle adventure game called The Day The World Broke which contained some absolutely horrifying-looking machine creatures in it. Most notably, I was utterly aghast when I accidentally let the pterodactyl-headed orb-bodied one ascend to the surface of the Earth. But what I associated with that moment was the ambient hum of smooth machinery. So hearing this album, I was able to make new associations rather than be emotionally hit by it.
Unlike many people who have photographic or physical memories, I'm almost entirely phonographic in memory. So learning through music and sounds was how I grew up. Otherwise, music like this might've actually gotten to me. Instead, this album's music I associated with that curious contemplation, trying to understand monsters, aliens, machine creatures, and abominations.
