So im confused, is double sword allowed with this build?
Are you talking about twinblades, like the Dragonrider Twinblade? If so, I don't think those qualify as Curved Swords/Katanas, but Redeye has the final word, according to Cohh.

Rule 10
Seems a bit pointless, the only point in the game where you'd be forced to use a torch would be for the braziers, wouldn't it? Even the snake lady can be beaten without using the torch.10. The only time a weapon may be one-handed is when you are forced to wield a torch.

No, duel wielding is not allowed - he must always two hand wield his sword with the exception of holding a torch. That is the only time he can one hand wield a sword.

I think having builds on games like this and fallout etc is pretty damn good going, denying weapons and armour purely based on your build! so good. So many times i've gone at a game being like "i'm not using anything else but X weapon" then 20 mins later using something completely different! good restraint there cohh!

Call this build whatever you want but don't insult samurai with such ridiculous restrictions on warfare. Samurai held that victory was honorable by any means necessary.
Rules of the build:
1: Starting class: Swordsman. Scimitar is primary weapon until obtaining another Curved Sword.
Samurai wielded a number of different weapon types including long and short swords (often dual wielded), staves, maces, spears, etc.
2: Can never use a shield. EVER!
Samurai made use of large shields called "tate" placed as cover from which to loose their bows.
3. If a shield is either bought or found, it must immediately be thrown to the ground and left there. Shields cannot be sold, traded, or manipualted in any way.
Samurai would salvage and either repair or sell any gear found on the battlefield. War is expensive.
4. All weapons used must be starting gear, Curved Swords/Katana, or Long Bow/Throwing Daggers. As the first Katanas are not available until Iron Forge, Curved Swords are allowed but must always be two-handed. No Exceptions! (edit: Due to the most excellent Scholar Dull Ember changes, the Uchi can be obtained much earlier from McDuff. Praise it! Praise that Sun right now!!) - REM
5. Once a Katana becomes available it must immediately be used as a primary weapon no matter whether it's upgraded or has lower damage than the currently used weapon.

6. Helmets may not be used until obtaining Alonne's Set. Heavy armour should be avoided at all costs until Alonne's Set is obtained.
Samurai wore helmets often with full face plates and their armor, while it may have been somewhat lighter than that worn by western knights of the time was by no means "light" commonly weighing ~50lbs unless specifically made light for horseback riding. Leather armour would have been reserved for... cannon fodder.
7. Being Hollow brings dishonour due to your hideous nature. If you can reverse Hollow, you must, OR YOU MUST KILL YOURSELF AT THE CLIFFS OF MAJULA TWICE AND LOSE ALL OBTAINED SOULS TO REGAIN YOUR HONOUR OR ENGAGE IN INVASION PVP!!
No samurai would place himself in a situation where he might have to face a surprise engagement with an enemy simply for the sake of his physical appearance.
8. Firebombs can only be used to clear obstacles, not for battle.
See introductory statement
9. Weapon Resins may be used but show that you are a coward and believe yourself weak. Your strength comes from within, through training and focus, not with cheap tricks.
See introductory statement
10. The only time a weapon may be one-handed is when you are forced to wield a torch.

11. No Summons!!

In case you were wondering where the samurai disappeared to, much as the southern aristocracy in the United States, once dispossessed of their slaves and estates, formed a private "social club" better known as the KKK, the samurai stripped of their rank and title in the late 1800s formed an organization known today as the Yakuza. They still maintain a code of honor. It's just not now nor has it ever been synonymous with western honor.
Read the article. It says that in the 17th century Musashi promoted the dual wielding technique called nitoken. The technique has it's origins in the mid 15th century and was used a lot more in the Eisho period (early 16th century): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenjutsu see Nitojutsu at bottom.
The truth is what we call Samurai defined as an aristocratic warrior class sworn to obedience to a feudal master existed for ~1000yrs and philosophy, fighting style, weapons and armor evolved significantly throughout that time depending as much on the sociopolitical climate as upon technological advances on the battlefield so any blanket statement made about them is bound to be wrong to some extent unless you specify a time and place first.

Does anyone have a list of the order in which Cohh actually raised his stats for this build?
