PC build

[Ekan97Kingen]

Hi i going to build my first PC and I want to know if this is a good PC build and is there anything I should consider? or replace. ( keyboard, mouse not included)
There are two things I wonder about.
1. Are the Motherboard good enough. and
2. I need a bigger power supply?

I believe that your power supply is good, if you don't think so you could move it to a 750 to be sure. Also something to think about is dropping the graphics to a 1070 and using that extra money to upgrade to an intel i7. I think that would round the computer a bit better than the i5. If you wanted to get really crazy look for the X99 boards. They allow for quad channel memory and crazy processor power, but at a cost. Cheers!

I have heard that 5i is better for gaming. Is it wrong ? is the Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz quad-core processor better?

i5 is not "better", it is just better used. but if your considering streaming as well then you should go for an i7

Very interesting question. Looking at things online and the i5 vs i7 in gaming isn't a large difference. Don't get me wrong, the i7 is better than the i5 in all benchmark tests, but depending on the game it could give you an extra 5-10 FPS or as must as 20-30 for really CPU intensive games. I still still with my original thought, but you do have a point that it may not be as good as I had thought.

Here are my two cents, the choice of psu is really good, the efficiency of todays components are insane and several tests have shown that the typicla power draw of a 1080 system with a 6700k is around 400w. However i agree with the others that you should upgrade to a 6700k, games are getting more and more cpu reliant + since some developers cant optimize correctly(no mans sky *cough cough*) it is nice to have some breathing room. However i wouldnt downgrade to a 1070, take a 500 gb ssd instead and a 2tb hard driver and you should have enough money for the uppgrade. Lastly i would pick a diffrent 1080 so it your motherboard better in terms of colour(or you could change the motherboard but i'm a sucker for black and white so dont do that.), both the asus strix and the evga super clocked are good choices.

There are two more things
1. do i need to buy a network adapter or is it included in any of the parts I bought?
2. can i mix parts from evga or asus Video Card as you said with a MSI Motherboard without any problems?

Network adapter? As in NIC or Ethernet card? If so - then it's on your motherboard.

There is no problems mixing brands of components when it comes to gpu and motherboards, some of the higher end boards might have some small aesthetic features if you match brands(for an example if you buy both the asus strix gpu and a second gen asus x99 board they can sync their lightning) but thats about it.

I would rather recommend dropping the 900gb SSD for a cheaper one and use the saved money for a I7, You might could save some dollars if you change motherboards but I'm not 100% sure.

Also change the monitor to a 1440p or 4k? monitor with the performance you get with the 1080 you will regret not buying one.

You also went with 144 hertz monitor is it because you play CS:GO or did you just went with the highest refresh rate?
