GWENT closed beta tech issue

I just got into the closed beta, which is fantastic, but I have a weird tech issue. Regardless of the settings in the game (fullscreen or not, any resolution), somehow the taskbar is always in front. I don't hide my taskbar in desktop mode and always run games in fullscreen (single monitor). I have the latest nvidia drivers and never had this issue with any other game. Any suggestions are appreciated, I'd rather be certain that it isn't any kind of setting i'm missing before posting on the CDPR forums.
