What are your thoughts on the Gamer Paladin Z350 for upcoming MMOs

Looking at upgrading my computer due to some upcoming game releases. At the moment, I primarily play FFXIV and looking forward to the new expansion, but also looking ahead to other upcoming games like Ashes of Creation.

Additionally, hoping to be able to do some video editing (a new thing I am looking to pick up).

Looking for advice on if this machine will have enough oomf and longevity to not need a replacement too quickly as it's been a while since I've looked into this sort of thing. I have a little budgetary room to play with a few upgrades (and would upgrade the RAM for sure), maybe up to as much as $2000, but would rather not go that high if I don't have to.

I do also play other RPG-style games, so want to be able to keep up.

ETA: all things considered, was also toying with the X959: https://www.ibuypower.com/Store/Gamer-Paladin-X959 because I like the idea of more cores, but not sure if that alone is worth the extra.

What resolution are you interested in, and framerate?

How long do you want the pc to last?

For video editing a lot of CPU power is required for rendering, getting more cores/threads on your CPU basicly decreases the time needed to render due to parrallel processing. (The new AMD Ryzen series could be something you might be interested in.)

Not sure with resolution if you are referring to the standard monitor resolution or something to do with the video editing. Framerate doesn't need to be crazy, but I'd like to be able to raid effectively. As for how long I want the PC to last, several years. My current PC is about 6 years old or so. I believe I built it in late 2010.

Is ibuypower the place where you will buy the pc(No self building then i presume)? If so then dont go for the AMD, they dont have the newer models which I was refering to.

I meant your (monitor) resolution for gaming but for this pc you should be able to play even 4k at ~30fps, the rest of the resultion easily at 60 fps.

I'd say go for the i7-7700k, it's higher base clock is simply better for nearly any game expect the heavily optimized games, which are still rare nowaday. The difference for video editing between the i7-6800k and the i7-7700k heavily depends on the software used, i doubt you will notice the difference between the two, only go for the i7-6800k if you intend to do alot of video editing and rendering.
Get yourself some more RAM, like 16GB(2x8).
I'd get the corsair RM750X(10 years warrenty) or EVGA 750GQ(5 years warrenty), although not optimal(~650W would be best) its the best the site offers for pcs meant to last longer than 5 years.
