I know Cohh is excited about Destiny 2 and that lends a bit of credibility to the game but, I'm just not sure how I feel about it. I played everything with a couple of buddies for all of Destiny but felt that Bungie was just taking my money and not quite delivering the experience that I was actually looking for. To be fair, I didn't run that many of the raids as I was never able to get enough players together and when my buddy and I would go looking for groups we would get booted because we hadn't run the raid before and therefore didn't know what it was we were doing. I was looking for more story line and even little bits of story in the various multi-player stuff. I never felt like it was cohesive nor when I did find out story line info I really didn't seem to care because of the way everything was written.
So here is the point of this post. I was wondering what it was that others did that brought them so much enjoyment for the $? At this point, I don't feel like pre-ordering until I can see some gameplay. Is there anyone else that feels like Destiny was somewhat disappointing even though you played it all and did enjoy a lot of it? I'm having a hard time expressing myself here because I just felt so let down with the progression from the base game.
A point of note: I do like the fact that the characters and loot and such doesn't care over to "2". I feel the universe would be stale and that new players would be turned off by how OP other players would be.
Reservations about Destiny 2

Well, I think some of that was you were running into snobs, but that's just my opinion. But playing solo or in a small group is hard because of vets who expect everyone to know everything about everything in the game. As for me, I managed to find a good group of people via the100.io and that makes a lot of difference.
Truthfully, Destiny was seriously lacking story content early on and while it's gotten better, it's not by leaps and bounds. The game is still a lot of grinding for gear and such, but there is lore there, even if it's handled poorly via the Grimore. They've also streamlined the game quite a lot from what I've seen, too, but I started playing with the Taken King expansion so I'm not well versed on what it was like in vanilla Destiny. While I'm iffy on the whole micro-transaction part of the game, I will say that Bungie has started to listen to the community in regards to things like balance issues, so I have high hopes for that to continue in Destiny 2.

It's all about perspective and the experiance... but I believe we kinda have control over both of them... even experiance. Like they always say in Droped Frames : "Any game can be fun with friends."
Me personaly MAYBE have a interesting view on Destiny 1... I started playing it for the first time 2 days ago. "Why?" Well when D1 came out... I was intrigued, BUT didn't have a PS4 at that time... then I was afraid I missed the train on that game... buuut now Destiny 2 is coming out and everyone is talking about it. So I figured that I should "practice" (now only problem is that most of my friends are not playing D1 any longer)
There were actualy many reasons why I wanted to try D1 out before jumping into D2... For example I started a 'stram-every-day' journey and even thou I am a variety gamer and am afraid to get "stuck" on D2 for a long time... I belive it would be a nice experiance and something I would like to share. Even thou streaming Destiny will most propably never get my channel going (not really self-promoting... more like telling where I'm coming from)
That all said... This D1 that I am playing is the final version with all the extras and all the fixes... First 2 days I played alone and was sad that I didn't pick it up earlier
From my first and solo experiance... it is a wonderful game
1st hour was hard thou... got so flufing overwhelmed ! The jump into the game and story was ok, BUT the "rest" area... didn't know where what was and felt lost. Quest system was hard to get used to... OR maybe it was just my OCD who wanted to understand it all from the get-go ;-P For example I know the "good" overwhelming feeling that The Witcher 3 gave me... this... was not that. This overwhelming feeling was lil more annoying (or that was because I was streaming)
ANYWAYS... after getting started and getting into it and starting to follow the step-by-step quest line (mostly the story one)... 6 hours later (first day) and I wanted to play more
Sorry for writing something this long, but it's hard to put my experiance into words (plus my English could be better). But yeah... now I'm looking for friends to play and share this game together with and belive that this good game will get only better... AND obviously I haven't got to the dlc-expansion-thingies yet and am looking forward for them.
To put a end to my monologue... 12 hours (2 days) into D1 and I can say that this game was worth my time and money and I shall pre-order the next one
Even when I would stop streaming it... I would see myself playing it off stream (when I have time) ;-P
