The main part is on the entrance: I have everything sealed off, so the bandits can only enter on 1 side.
On that side, when they try enter, 29 turrets welcome them + my crew. Basically they can't make 2 steps in the entrance before getting shot to pieces. :D

I make sure my slaves are well treated, they each have their own cooler and heater in their bedroom. Even the prisoner has the luxury of a citizen in Ozztopia

I'm still pretty new to the game, but i love it :D

22 colonists were living in this small city, but if you check the blue rooms, i had plenty if space for some more :D
i also digged the whole mountain below.

Man ... looking at all those nice, big bases i almost feel bad for mine :D
I prefer smaller settlements though. Luckily i just convinced a prisoner to join me right after the last raid killed my melee guy :(
So far the colony survived everything everything the game threw at me, so i'm happy with it.

I don't have a finished base yet, but I'm enjoying my current exploratory start - capture an enemy? Throw a party!
