Hello.

For about a month I have been the owner of a new computer unit. With time, I noticed the disturbing temperature of the CPU, while playing but also in idle. During the idle, the temperature remains between 45-55 degrees. And during an hour / two hour game, it even reaches a temperature of 75-80 degrees. What can cause the problem, is it the cooler fault or something else ?

CPU: i7-7700K 4.2 GHz
Current Cooler: SilentiumPC FERA 3 HE1224
Case: Corsair SPEC-ALPHA
Power Supply: Corsair VS650 650W
Motherboard: MSI Z270 PC MATE
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
Memory: HyperX Fury Black, DDR4, 16GB,2400MHz
Thermal Grease: SilentiumPC Pactum PT-2
Instaled Fans: 3 fans 120mm (3-speed regulator)

LUL, funny story I just watched a local IT thingy that had a guy with the same problem, I swear, no joke.
You can try something a bit beefy'er. But first of all clean your pc for dust, even the Fans, be thorough with the fans, and then switch the thermal paste. That should do the trick.
As a second option I say if u have the space in the unit and the money buy another cooler, like a noctua or a bequite

If not there is always this option:

Small, sleek, and easy install!

I don't think the cooler is doing it's job efficiently it should be "cooling" the CPU not be heating it up nice a toasty like. You have a beefy CPU and GPU that needs air to circulate around the system. Look into Cooler Master they are one of the best, if you want matching parts go for Corsair.

You should get a Cooler Master 412s, it does the job brilliantly in my PC for keeping the CPU cool

Since you're running stock speeds on your processor and TDP is <100W you can get away with most mid-range coolers on the market. The cooler you currently have I've never heard of and after a bit of googling it seems like it should be fine so there's possibly other factors at play here. Dust or other obstructions, or bad overall air flow, or high ambient temps. Reseating and repasting the cooler might be a good place to start for only the price of a wipe and some new paste. If you're confident this stuff isn't an issue though...

Hyper 212 evo is the go-to for a lot of people. I've used them before and it was good but it's pretty bulky and can be awkward to install and might not fit in some cases. Performance isn't as good as more recently designed units either. Still to this day a lot of people swear by them and the 212 can easily cope with a 95W TDP. (rated for max 180)

If looks are a consideration:
https://www.arctic.ac/uk_en/freezer-33-esports-one.html these look really fancy and quite different with the black heat sink. Brand new product, I've zero experience of it, but their stuff is usually well made and they are already a big player in the cooling market. +5 style points.

If you want -5 style points, any noctua cooler should do. Example:

Or if for some reason you're looking to go water cooled with an AIO, maybe a corsair h55 or similar. No need to go big unless you're planning overclocks down the road. Any reputable brand's 120mm rad version will do. Although if you don't have any space to mount it, go back to the air cooler.

- for what you have, I'd stick with the air cooler and just find one that fits your build theme.
