Fallout - What was your favorite game?

I am thinking of buying an older Fallout (have currently only Fallout 4 + DLC's).

So my question is:
What Fallout was your Favourite?
And wich ones would you recommend to buy, for someone 'new' to the franchise, and who loves Fallout 4?

I had almost 700 hours in F4 and loved it , and then I got F3 and Fallout New Vegas and when I began playing those, OMG, they are worth it. oh almost forgot, F3 and FNV are rich in storyline

Hi depends on what you like New Vegas has the better story but 3 has the better made world in my opinion (the radio with Tree dog is awesome in 3 as well)

Here is my take. Fallout 1 and 2 for very specific reason. It's mostly not voice acted. Because of that they could go wild with dialogue. Solid writing and a lot of it and I just love every minute of it.
Fallout 3 felt like a total disappointment.
Fallout New Vegas is still buggy and unstable and trying to run it is always a pain.
Fallout 76 is a joke with MTX where color blue cost more than some decent games.
Fallout 4 has pointless base mechanic and is basically castrated compared to others. Hate the dialogue system.

Basically anything Bethesda ever did for me is bad. Obsidian one need come time in the oven and you might get something from it if you install community patches etc but it will still crash on you many times.

There are also 2 others. One we do not talk about. Also it's very hard to get. And one is Tactics. I like Tactics but I treat it for what it is. A spin-off. I like ambushing enemies and this is why I don't mind it.
