Capcom Games Sell Well But Miss Targets

Capcom has released its fiscal 2013 report, in which it reveals the sales figures of recent releases.

In total, 14 million of the publisher's games were sold at retail though only three titles managed to break the 1 million sales mark.

Of these, two failed to meet Capcom's expectations in terms of sales figures: Resident Evil 6 sold 4.9 million copies when the company had projected sales of 7 million, while DmC: Devil May Cry sold 1.15 million units against a target of 2 million.

It wasn't all bad news though: the publisher announced that new franchise Dragon's Dogma "achieved an extraordinary 1.3 million units sold, successfully establishing this as a standalone brand."
