Blizzard has warned Battle.net Mobile Authenticator iOS app users of a potential problem that may arise when updating their devices to the latest version of iOS.
In a breaking news update posted on the Battle.net website this week, Blizzard announced that updating to the latest version of iOS could cause the Battle.net Mobile Authenticator app to reset, preventing users from accessing their Battle.net accounts.
In order to avoid this happening, several different steps are recommended that can help to avoid any serious problems. Among these are writing down the serial number and restore code for the authenticator, removing the authenticator from the Battle.net temporarily, signing up for the SMS Protect service, or updating the iOS device over Wi-Fi.
