[UPDATE] Following the publication of this story, the auction ended. Due to suspicious bidding, the auction was canceled and the white Xbox One was sold as a Buy It Now item. It went for £5,000 ($~8,000)

The original story is below.

As it turns out, being part of the Xbox launch team isn't the only way to score a special white Xbox One.

Microsoft provided United Kingdom-based charity GamesAid with the commemorative Xbox One console and the group is now auctioning it off on eBay. The current asking price is £16,300, or about $26,200. The auction is open to serious bidders only, who are asked to contact GamesAid prior to participating in the auction process.

The special white Xbox One features a matching white controller, as well as the inscription "I Made This" at the right of the disc tray. Also included with the system are exclusive Day One and Launch Team achievements.

GamesAid is a video games-focused charity that acts as an umbrella to support various charities who help disadvantaged and disabled children and young people.

The GamesAid white Xbox One system will ship on November 22, the same day the next-generation console goes on sale publicly across 13 territories.
