I'm getting the feeling that my GPU has died. Its an AMD HD 8870 and after I tried to download the latest drivers the computer crashed. I got it going again after uninstalling the drivers, and checked the ePSA. Its saying that there is a Video Memory Integrity test discrepancy. Does this mean its dead or is there a fix? I'm not a very techy so I'm not sure what to try.
Windows 8.1
Intel Core i7-3820 @3.60 Ghz
16 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 8870
Thanks for any help guys!

What motherboard and RAM are you running? I'd suggest CPU-Z by CPUID for getting stats.
Could you elaborate why you think your GPU might be toast: i.e. describe symptoms like stuttering without load.

I agree with Davinc1985. I would add, does the motherboard have onboard video? Could you try that to see if that fixes the issue?

Read through the following: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-article ... -Beta.aspx
Pay extra attention to the known/solved issue section, see if anything sounds dead on like what you're experiencing.
Also, if you've got a chance, run a temperature check program and see if there's a range in/above which the issue happens. Sounds like it's under load: if you're hitting 85C+, you're in rough territory. Anything below that, the card should feel pretty comfy.
Vertical line crashes in AMD cards "might" indicate a baked chipset, although it may be a number of other less severe issues. Check with the manufacturer for a possible RMA if it's a relatively new card.
A possible quick and dirty solution might be to drop GPU clock by 6-8% using overdrive and seeing how it behaves after.

I got an AMD Radeon R7 370. I was going to go with a GeForce, but they were a bit out of my price range. The 370 basically doubled my GPU power for the same cost of a GeForce with the same power as my old GPU. To be fair, the one I got was on sale but...
