My budget is: Price not an issue, will save up
I live in: Norway (The expensive country)
Operating System: Windows 7 (Gonna buy with new PC)
Monitor: No need, already got
Gaming Resolution: 1920x1080 (Minimum), standard play on 1 monitor watch Cohh on other ;)
Peripherals: Got it, see PCPartPicker link provided below
Overclocking: NO! I dont like it
Plan with PC: Game for YEARS! ;)

I've already picked out most parts and Im using PCPartPicker to help with compatibility, but its getting a hit on the RAM I've picked out. I also need help regarding cooling and Power Supply.

I've made a PCPartPicker of planned and already owned parts (Minus the CPU Radioator as I could not find it). Please dont make any changes (If you can, I dont know how that works), I'll deal with that myself after confirming that any added or changes are possible.

Now, I actually already have a set of Corsair Vengence Pro 16 GB on my current machine which have a MSI Z87-G45 Gaming Motherboard and a i5-4670K CPU and I'm not having any issues, but I still want someone more knowledgeable about PC than me to give me an assesment, is it just a case of not running at peak effectiveness or is it serious?

According to PCPartPicker Im gonna need 560W Power Supply, so I was thinking a 600W unit. Would that be enough? Should I get more? Get less? Any specific unit you recommend? I have NO idea regarding Power Supply at all.

And lastly its cooling. The CoolerMaster Storm Scout 2 is what I have now, I also have an Corsair H100i Hydro CPU Cooler (I think, it was a gift). Do you recommend a different case? Anything, what do you recommend?

I have limited hardware knowledge, I've never built a PC (Like these clumsy fingers will touch anything inside a PC), so please keep it simple. Thanks for any help.

Ps. Unrelated to this topic, this will be my first post in the Cohhiltion Forums (Only took me over a year) *Blows Party Blower*. I've decided to try using this forum more, emphasis on try, like I've been doing with the AJSA Forum the past 2 years now (Which I still check on a daily basis).

If you never wish to upgrade this system, 600W would do. If you want to upgrade it in the future, aim for something a little better. (I would aim for one step higher anyway due to the power output reducing over time)

You shouldn't need much more than 16gb of ram... I don't 100% understand that question, sorry.

Corsair H100i CPU Cooler is exceptionally good. Closed circuit water cooling that never needs to be replaced that is also incredibly effective. Good choice.

The case I use that is exceptional is the Corsair Carbide Airflow 540. Excellent case, amazing airflow and keeps temperatures cool.

I kept it short and sweet for you. If you need any more help do not hesitate.

First off Welcome to the forums! There are really great people here!

Interesting question. The site says: "This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum."

That to me is exactly what you said, it would run slower. The other side is that you will push the CPU harder then it was meant to. I guess if it is all the same, i would try two things. Build your current machine and see if you get the same error (you said you had the same memory right now). The other option is to just see if you can find a different set of Memory. Keep this tread updated with what you find out.

Hi, thanks for the help so far.

Ticktock I did as you said and added my Mobo, CPU and RAM and I got the same thing. So, that seems to me that the RAM just isnt running at peak effectiveness. Im guessing. Im not have had a single issues with my PC since I put it the RAM (Excluding a weird SSD bug where it filled up without explenation until the PC was restartet, I reformated the SSD, at first it didnt seem to help but I havent seen it happening for around 1/2 year now. It was a few months after installing the RAM, but I dont see how RAM could've caused such a weird issue). I had bluescreens *Shudders* before, which error messages pointed at a memory issue, havent seen it after upgrade.

IcyCaress, I'll have a look at that case. Any suggestion regarding fans? Just use the standards (On the Corsair Carbide Airflow 540 if I end up going for that) and the H100i? Or add any?

Unless you intend to be doing some harsh overclocking (Which you stated you would not) then you should be fine with the radiator and stock fans. Just make sure your radiator is an "In-Flow" (Sucks air into the machine) to maximise the airflow going through the parts.

*Looks at the case IcyCaress mentioned* Oh dear RNGeesus, that's... big. Its like, my current case twice in width. Probably a bit too big, I want it to be easily transportable. But as I was comparing sizes, I remembered I still have some fan slots thats not used.

The only thing I could think of is Virtual Memory. Basically the a part of the hard drive gets used in place of RAM. I have never seen this cause a full hard drive but there is always a first for anything.

I would say if you are set on getting those memory sticks, then make sure to check the return policy. If something were to happen would you be able to return them after having used them? Good luck!

Well, it can have been the RAM, or Windows 10. It happened after I upgraded to Windows 10. First the RAM was installed early August, and as soon as it was made avaliable I installed Windows 10. Some time after that, in the late summer early autumn the SSD thing startet to happen. After formating twice (First time I installed Windows 10 straight away from an USB but couldnt activate, had to install Windows 8 first then upgrade I was told by a Microsoft guy on the phone). It stopped some time after that, didnt notice how long after.

Do you happen to remember a folder called windows.old? It would be on the root of C:\ That would basically be a copy of your hard drive. So if your hard drive was over (or at least close to half full) you would have a almost completely full drive after. Also did you purchase a retail copy of windows 10? If not that would be why you couldn't activate it, but you could after the upgrade. Also after you formatted the computer for the second time none of your files were on there so you didn't see as much of a hit with the windows.old folder. Most likely it is still there. Just run disk cleanup and make sure to select pretty much everything. There should be something about windows upgrade files, that should clean any windows 8 install files up. Just know you cannot go back once that is deleted.

I know of windows.old, wouldnt be the first time seeing that. Also, no I did it via the free upgrade. But as I said in my original post Im gonna buy a copy. I was kinda just hoping it would recognize that I had Win10 on my PC before (Based on previous experience with upgrading OS where it recognizes that Ive had the OS installed after a reformat). And the issue was that it the free size of the SSD was going down over time until a system restart.

So I made s minor update, Windows 7 instead of 10. Why? Well incase you havent seen me ranting about it in Cohhs chat I were forcibly upgraded to Windows 10 against my will. And as you might guess Im a bit annoyed... Or rather pissed of to on end. So Im not gonna accept Windows 10 on my machine after something like that.
