Hi fairly new to the Cohhilition and saw in chat that there was a pc forums on the site so i wanted to give it a shot. Looking for some tips on what to upgrade on my computer.
Current build:
Processor: Intel i5
MB: Gigabyte GA-Z77-HD3
Ram: 8 GB DDR3-1600
GC: AMD Radeon HD 7770 - 1GB
PS: 500 watt
I am thinking about upgrading my memory to 16 GB(http://goo.gl/afUfkW) and my graphics card to a EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4GB(http://goo.gl/0K37Pb). Budget for card is around $250. Any suggestions on things better than what I have picked would be much appreciated.

For your price there upgrading your Graphics Card is definitely a priority and the one you selected is the most powerful you'll get within your price range. If you want to fork out a little more you can grab yourself a GTX 970 for $330.
As far as RAM goes... Honestly unless you are aiming to shoot for livestreaming/recording/rendering your RAM is fine! ^.^
You said I5... You did not go into much detail but honestly that should also be decent. If you have to then feel free to upgrade that to a lower end I7. Again, not necessary at all in any way whatsoever but if you want a good computer, go for it.
So, a brief rundown:
- GTX 960 is an excellent choice. GTX 970 would be better but a little more expensive.
- PSU is a MUST BE upgrade. 100%. Do not purchase a higher tier graphics card without purchasing a better PSU otherwise you could end up frying your Motherboard, RAM, CPU and/or Peripherals if you do not take care to do this. My personal choice would be to get a 600-750W power supply. (600 Watt should be fine!)
- Ram should be okay.
That's about it. You take care!
