Fallout 4 or GTA 5

Steam summer sale, or, why my wallet hates me, part the 5th
Preamble:
I have never played a fallout game, i think i recall a lot of fallout 4's criticisms coming from what it did or didn't do in relation to fallout 3 etc., so i have no preconceived baggage to color my view of the game.
i have played GTA 5 and enjoyed what i got to play (first 3rd of the game) on ps3 before my ps3 got sold to pay for my ps4 lol

So, Steam summer sale has begun, and both are on sale GTA5 is $36 and Fallout 4 is $30 (no dlc) and i can only get 1, what do you think? i like what i played of GTA 5, and I'v watched Cohh play Fallout and it looks pretty cool, any reason NOT to get one over the other?

Decided to go with GTA 5 now, and wait for a GoTY edition of Fallout 4 since it's another $50 for the expansion pass

I've played a thousand combined hours of Fallout 3, NV and 4 and think you made a good decision. (I own GTA V but haven't played it yet.) Reason is, Fallout 3 is my favorite and you can get that much cheaper, as well as New Vegas. Considering cost, I would definitely start with FO3 and by the time you get around to FO4, it will be cheaper as you said.

FO4 is good, but not as good as the much cheaper FO3 IMHO.
