i would start off by upgrading the PSU and the GPU and then an extra 8gb ram. but it all depends on how much you have available, one thing is, dont upgrade the GPU before the PSU because im, afraid it wont be able to handle it

Just how much money are you willing to spend because your greatest bottleneck right now is your gpu and unless its a super crappy psu it should be able to handle a current gen gpu as they are really efficient there wont be much headroom but it should be able to handle it until you can get something better, but if you are looking for small cheap improvements i would start with and extra 8gb ram and maybe an ssd

psu is 450W, and an SSD is not an upgrade to the system, its a commodity, plenty of other stuff to be done before that

Yeah i know its a 450w but is it a shitty pre-built oem or is it from a more reputable brand, because if its shitty oem I wouldnt be comfortable to put much load on it but if it is a reputable brand i would. As for the ssd, i find that an ssd is as much as a comodity as a good gpu. The overall repsonsiveness of the OS is drastically improved compared to an old harddrive. But it all depends on what kind of budget he has.

Here's the thing with the PSU...You are currently are just above the minimum wattage for your graphics card as recommended by Nvidia. If you are going to upgrade your Graphics Card at any point you will likely end up having to replace the PSU with it.

As for the current setup the biggest bang for your buck would be adding memory. One thought on that is you only have 2 slots so if you have 2 x 4GB sticks you will have to buy 2 x 8GB to max your board.

Adding a SSD even a cheap small one and setting your OS page partition on it will help as well during memory intensive times. Otherwise I suggest a SSD for the entire OS but that requires a re-install of windows in your case.

Hope this helps.
