'About Two Dozen Parties' Interested in 38 Studios IP

Bankrupt 38 Studios' assets will be sold in a telephone auction, and around 24 parties are interested in the properties, an auction executive said.

Although recently moved to November, the auction will take place on December 11. Nick Jemenez, executive vice president at Global Heritage Partners, the company in charge of the auction, said bidders from North America, Europe and Asia are interested in individual properties, or all of the studios' IP as a whole.

"There's value here — I'm hoping some people see a tremendous amount of value," Jimenez told ABC News. "Our objective is to return as much as we can to the stakeholders."
