A new update for real-time strategy game Planetary Annihilation focused on improving its social elements is planned for release later this month, developer Uber Entertainment announced today.
Community-oriented features will be fleshed out in the next update, which will introduce a redesigned user interface, friends list, and instant messaging. Beyond that, optimizations and fixes are planned as well, as are things like news and video feeds.
This all follows the recent release of another significant update that introduced new units, mechanics, and more. The update coming later this month is being called the 'Gamma' update; Uber sees it as the next major step for the game, which was released as an alpha last June and entered beta in September.
