General :
On Twitch today there is a lot of things which can stop new streamers and discourage them to continue :
- The success of OLD streamers : it's difficult when you see your favorites streamers with +500 or +1000 viewers and when YOU are streaming : only 1 or 2...
- Viewers Bots or Followers Bots : a lot of people just buy some viewers bots or followers bots ot think they will grow up fastly but it's a big mistake and you only can get bad reputation. For my part, I was botted without my permission ( maybe by someone I banned from my channel ) I send mail to Twitch but the problem has never benn resolved...I don't know why but talking about "bots" is prohibited with streamers....
- There is some very nice new streamers who are working a lot on their channel to give somme good stream quality and not only : "I turn on my screen, my computer and it's ok : give me money ! " but they are flooded by a wave of other streamers who don't intend to make streaming as a work...
About me :
As a new streamer, I work 8 hours ON stream and 2-4 hours OFF stream EVERYDAY to improve graphics, intro, outro, animated interscreen, overlays, followers alerts, donators alerts etc...It's a very big work to propose that to the audience but when I see a new streamer who just created this channel 2 days ago and with +150 viewers on the stream and only 10 in chat, I know he's botting a lot ( specially when you go on some statistic website and you see +20.000 viewers in 24-48 hours.... )
I don't wanna use viewers bots or following bots, I wann grow LEGIT and I know it will take a looooooooong time but it's sure if sometimes I can be raided I'll be glad and it will be a little reward for all this work.
Good idea to create this topic
Wade, I'm curious about the opinion of other people here and/or other new streamers.
PS : don't think I'm begging...I just give my opininon about differecne between general streaming discussions/fellings and mines.
PS2 : sry for englis faults...

As much as I would love to stream for a living, I do this as a hobby while I go for my degree. Work and school plus streaming and finding time to do video reviews/first impressions of games.
All we can do is have fun in the process and try to make our time worth something to someone else.
